Some people think that people with minor crimes should not go to prison. However, there are points for and points against this idea.

On the one hand, this statement can be reinforced with several arguments, firstly you cannot compare a crime of murder or rape with a crime of theft, secondly you should take into account the level of crime committed and the circumstances in which the person was at the time of the action, and thirdly the fact of committing a minor crime should not lead to imprisonment, as there are other ways to punish the person, for example by doing community service.

On the other hand, absolving someone from going to prison has negative aspects, as there are laws that determine which types of acts are punishable by prison and which are not, it would also be unfair because what may seem a minor crime to one person may be a serious one to another, and finally a crime of whatever magnitude it may be is still something wrong in society, and therefore has to be punished.

Personally, I believe that each case is different and that there should not be a universal law that says what is right and what is wrong, but that each crime should be looked at in detail in order to act in the fairest way.

Algunas personas piensan que las personas con crímenes leves no deberían ir a la cárcel. Sin embargo hay puntos a favor y puntos en contra sobre esa idea.

Por un lado, esta afirmación la podemos reforzar con varios argumentos, en primer lugar no se puede comparar un delito de assessinato o violación con uno de robo, en segundo lugar se deberia tener en cuenta el nivel de delito cometido i las circumstàncias en las que esa persona se encontraba en el momento de la acción, y en tercer lugar el hecho de cometer un delito leve no debería conducir a la cárcel, ya que hay otras maneras de castigar a esa persona, como por ejemplo realizando trabajos a la comunidad.

Por otro lado el absolver a alguien de ir a la cárcel tiene aspectos negativos, ya que existen leyes que determinan qué tipos de actos tienen pena de cárcel y cuáles no, también sería injusto porque que para lo que una persona puede parecer un delito leve para otra puede ser uno grave, y finalmente un delito sea de la magnitud que sea no deja de ser algo mal hecho dentro de la sociedad, y por lo tanto tiene que ser castigado.

Personalmente, creo que cada caso es un mundo y que no tendría que haber una ley universal que dijera lo que está bien  y lo que está mal sino que se tendría que mirar muy detalladamente cada delito para poder actuar de la manera más justa.
